    Internet Marketing Association (IMA) Hosts Most Successful Event to Date:.

    Hundreds Attend pack the room as Google AdWords Global Director Gives Commanding Keynote Presentation in San Francisco

    More than 200 attendees from all over the world were on hand at the Grand Hyatt San Francisco on April 26th where the Internet Marketing Association hosted an exclusive event, “The Future of Internet Marketing” with the much anticipated keynote presentation by Google, Inc. Among the industry leaders that spoke at the event were: Paul Myer, President of 8e6 Technologies, who covered the topic of Internet filtering; Father Bernard McCoy, O.Cist, CEO of LaserMonks, presenting on how his company made millions from effective Internet marketing; and Sinan Kanatsiz, Chairman of the IMA, spoke about this year’s Internet marketing forecast. Pete Elliot, Director of Marketing for KEY Information Systems, shared on the topic of IBM’s e-marketing success; Chris Baggott, Co-Founder and Chief Marketing Officer of ExactTarget, discussed e-mail marketing; and Clarence So, Vice President & General Manager of salesforce.com spoke about the importance of Customer Relationship Management (CRM). Ending the evening on an extremely high note, David Fischer, Global Director for Google AdWords, shared his expertise on the current state of Internet marketing and its forecasted future growth.

    Sinan Kanatsiz Speaks at UCLA

    On April 20th, K-Comm Chairman and CEO Sinan Kanatsiz gave a speech to the Executive MBA School at UCLA. Sinan gave a presentation entitled, "The Transition Between College and the Real World," and shared his public relations and Internet marketing expertise with a large group of UCLA business students. Sinan discussed the convergence of print and online media, and shared valuable insight on the latest industry trends and the future of Internet marketing. He also noted the pros and cons of being an entrepreneur and taking the right risks at the right time in life. Sinan attributed his success to four pillars, which include, Personal Integrity, Coaches & Mentors, Family and Education.     Sinan Kanatsiz Becomes Youngest Recipient in History to Win Santa Ana College Alumni Hall of Fame Achievement Award

    Sinan Kanatsiz, Chairman and CEO of K-COMM has been selected as the youngest recipient of the highly coveted Hall of Fame Award, bestowed by the Trustees of Santa Ana College. The Hall of Fame Award is the highest honor given by the college and is a distinguished milestone for the 30 year old entrepreneur. "This award represents an individual's character achievements in addition to their business accomplishments, we're elated to have Sinan join our honorary list," says Sara Lundquist, Ph.D., vice president of student services, Santa Ana College.

    Kanatsiz will be formally inducted into the Alumni Hall of Fame on Friday, May 20, 2005. He will also speak at commencement and be honored at a dinner reception.

    GR Capital and KPMG Share Stage with K-Comm for Triumphant Orange County Chapter of the Wealthy 100 Meeting

    K-Comm, GR Capital Asset Management and KPMG were excited to host the Orange County Chapter of the Wealthy 100’s spectacular event at Hush restaurant in Laguna Beach in mid-April. This fabulous networking opportunity for attendees offered mingling with some of Orange County's most prominent business leaders, delicious hors d'oeuvres and exquisite Levendi wine. Sinan Kanatsiz, K-Comm CEO, shared his expertise on how to make the right financial decisions at an early age, while KPMG Manager of Forensic Technology Services Vince Walden gave an insightful and entertaining presentation into the world of corporate fraud and investigation. Most importantly, guests walked away with a clear understanding of the "habits of wealth" and wealth management strategies provided by Todd Rustman, President of GR CAM.     Todd A. Rustman co-founded GR Capital in 1995.     The Making of an Effective Newsletter

    One of the many things that K-Comm produces for every client to help enhance their reach and create strong viral marketing is a monthly or quarterly newsletter. Some clients prefer e-newsletters, while others still like the traditional physical newsletters – some even like to do both. We wanted to share with you some tips we feel are critical to creating a successful newsletter:
  • Analyze and study how others are doing it: Determine what works and what is weak
  • Plan your newsletter before launching it: Know your editorial position, the layout, art work, type styles, subscription price, distribution methods, and every other detail necessary to make it look, sound and feel like the end result you have envisioned
  • Be sure your newsletter works with the personality you’re trying to build for it; Make sure it reflects the wants of your subscribers
  • Name the newsletter: The name should set it apart from similar newsletters and define the direction and scope of the newsletter
  • Don’t skim on design or graphics – the more aesthetically pleasing the newsletter, the better chance that it will be read
  • Build your subscriber list and enlist your subscribers to send you names of people they think might be interested in receiving the newsletter
  • Give your readers quality information about your company as well as the industry your company works in – make sure it is newsworthy and provides readers with good resources

    SUMMARY

    Marketing / PR Specialist to work directly with the CEO and Director of Public Relations on Los Angeles area accounts. Responsible for handling a variety of PR/Marketing/E-Marketing duties on multiple accounts simultaneously and business development in LA County.
